December 8th, 2020 Memorandum signed with European Chemistry Partnering (ECP)

On December 8th,2020, ECTT together with its partner organizations EU-China Municipal Development Commission (ECMDC) and the Chinese International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector (CICCPS) signed a cooperation agreement with the European Chemistry Partnering (ECP) organization. ECP is the leading European partnering platform for the chemical industry. Purpose of the agreement is to efficiently connect European chemical companies with their Chinese counterparts with regard to joint R&D and manufacturing activities as well as mutual market access.
ECTT S.A. was represented by its Executive President, Dr. Guntermann, and ECP by its founder and Chairman Dr. Holger Bengs.
The signing ceremony was held as a virtual video-based event including press conference. On the Chinese side, Mr. Yi Zhang represented ECMDC as Chairman as well as the CICCPS as Co-Chairman of its Supervisory Board.
The aim of this unique initiative is to support small and medium-sized chemical companies in establishing contacts with companies in the respective other market.

As co-signatory of the memorandum, the European Chemistry Partnering (ECP) provides the virtual platform for initiating and executing Sino-European cooperation in the field of chemistry. The 5th ECP event will take place online from 24th to 26th of February 2021.

December 8th - 15th, 2018 Appointment of Dr. Henrich Guntermann as General Coordinator for Germany and the EU of Chinese International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector (CICCPS)
From December 8, 2018 to 15th, Mr. Guntermann, Executive President of ECTT S.A. and Deputy Secretary General of the EU-China Municipal Development Commission (ECMDC), was invited to visit China. During his stay, based on the recommendation of the Chairman of CICCPS, Mr. ZHANG Yi, and approved by the authoritative committee of CICCPS, Mr. Guntermann was appointed as the General Coordinator of CICCPS for Germany and the European Union. CICCPS’ President, Mr. WANG Yanguo, awarded Mr. Guntermann with the respective official document.
Together with Chairman ZHANG Yi, Mr. Guntermann visited the National High-Tech Zone of the City of Jining (Shandong Province) where ECMDC and ECTT support local government to expand and sharpen the profile of the existing Life Science Park and support German Life Science companies to settle in Jining and to successfully introduce their products into the Chinese market together with local partners.
During his stay in China, Mr. Guntermann also accompanied Mr. ZHANG Yi on a trip to Jiaxing, Zhejiang
Province, to conduct in-depth communication and exchanges with relevant Chinese institutions in the areas of public health and medical care, precision medicine as well as cell therapy. Future
cooperations between German and Chinese institutions and companies are under consideration and development.
During the Jiaxing visit, Chairman ZHANG Yi and Mr. Guntermann took the opportunity of going to the South Lake to visit the "Red Boat", place of the very first session of CPC's National Congress Meeting.
Nov.14.2018 Chinese Delegation from Jining
On Nov. 14th, 2018 the Lord Mayor of Jining visited the City of Leipzig. The delegation included officials of the city government, representatives of the
Jining National High-Tech Zone as well as Chinese entrepreneurs interested in investing in Germany. Meetings with the Leipzig Invest Region GmbH (owned by the City of Leipzig), Leipzigs Mayor
for Finance, the Fraunhofer Institute IZI and regional companies were focused on establishing a future close cooperation between both cities. The major goal is to facilitate and promote
partnerships between companies and institutions from the Leipzig
region with their counterparts in Jining. These partnerships can be joint R&D projects, manufacturing activities or related to joint market entry efforts for mutual benefit. In order to
better coordinate these efforts, the Jining National High-Tech Zone has opened a liaison office in Leipzig.
November 7th - 10th, 2018 Delegation visit of Chinese International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector (CICCPS) in Leipzig
As organization, CICCPS is representing approximately 5 million private Chinese enterprises. Besides the global players, SMEs are representing the clear majority among the members of the chamber. CICCPS sees its function to facilitate the “going global” of its members, but also supports foreign companies to identify suitable partners regarding product entry into the Chinese market and business cooperations with local Chinese partners. The CICCPS delegation, consisting of the chamber’s Executive Team and the Chairman of its Supervisory Board, met with representatives of the City of Leipzig, visited the BMW factory in which the fully electric vehicles are getting manufactured for global distribution and also other companies located in Leipzig and the State of Thuringia. Several Chinese entrepreneurs with plans to enter the EU markets were accompanying the CICCPS officials. CICCPS has opened a coordination office in the City of Leipzig to better serve German and Chinese companies as contact point for any partnering requests. This office is the first CICCPS bureau on German territory.

On the 30th of March, the delegation led by Chairman ZHANG Yi to meet with Mr. LIU Wenzhang, Chairman of the Board of Yunnan Industrial Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd (YIIH) and his team in order to discuss the implementation of Sino-European technology transfer and joint
R & D cooperation. The delegation of ECMDC is also consisted of Deputy Secretary General HU Zhenming, Mr. Shiloh Miller, Member of the Council of ECMDC and General Secretary of Israel Belgium Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Henrich Guntermann, Member of the Council of ECMDC and CEO of European Consortium of Technology Transfer (ECTT). Moreover, the attendees also included Mr. SUN Degang, President
of YIIH, Mr. SONG Xingju, Vice President of YIIH, Mr. FAN Hong, Vice President of YIIH, Mr. LIN Jiahong, Chairman of the Board of Yunnan Phytopharmaceutical Co., Ltd (YP) and Ms. ZHOU Min,
General Manager of YP. During the meeting, ECMDC reiterated its intent to take concrete action to ensure a two-way cooperation between YIIH and its European partners. Both parties expect to break
down the limits of the conventional model, and make the full use of the complementarity between the advanced European technologies and the vast Chinese ones. During the process of implementing
the Belt and Road Initiative, the joint efforts between ECMDC and YIIH will enable the latter to become bigger and stronger. As for Sino-European bio-pharmaceutical cooperation, Walvax
Biotechnology Co., Ltd, of whose YIIH is the substantial shareholder was presented as the ideal partner. Finally, a solid foundation was laid for the follow-up strategy.

business segments of YP, the delegation had the chance to visit the factories of YP. Following, a meeting was held where Mr. FAN Hong underlined that after nearly two years’ negotiation, YIIH and
ECMDC intend to establish a close partnership, and jointly promote Sino-European pharmaceutical cooperation. Mr. FAN Hong, Mr. LIN Jiahong and Ms. ZHOU Min reiterated their belief that with the
support of ECMDC, YP will establish the close partnership with European counterparts and make the international marketing possible. Regarding the next steps and the follow up to this meeting, it
was agreed that YP will prepare the proposal for the cooperation in line with its own appeals, and submit it to ECMDC. In accordance with the actual demands of YP, ECMDC will select the best
European partners, and jointly bring YP products to European market.

On the morning of March 28th, 2017, Mr. LIU Zhanshan, Managing Vice President and Secretary General of the Chinese Society of Vocational and Technical Education (CSVTE), Ms. PAN Ming, Head of the General Office of CSVTE were invited to visit Beijing Office of ECMDC and met with Chairman ZHANG Yi, Deputy Secretary General HU Zhenming, Ms. Ingrid JIANG, Chairperson of the Board of EU-China Municipal Development Projects Management Co., Ltd, Mr. Shiloh Miller, Member of the Council of ECMDC and General Secretary of Israel Belgium Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Henrich Guntermann, Member of the Council of ECMDC and CEO of European Consortium of Technology Transfer (ECTT). Both parties met in order to discuss the issue of promoting Sino-European vocational education cooperation and explore the best way to implement the advanced ideas of VTE and mobilize the resources of Germany, other European countries and Israel, which will serve to boost the development of China’s VTE. With CSVTE as the partner in China, ECMDC will rely on its European team to introduce the best quality vocational education resources of Europe into China in order to serve China’s national policies and strategies.

Mar. 27.2017 The Delegation of ECMDC Visits North China Electric Power University
The visit to the North China Electric Power University took place on the 27th of March 2017 in order to discuss the establishment of a Sino-German Joint Research Center in the State of Saxony. The delegation was led by Chairman ZHANG Yi who met with Mr. WU Zhigong, Secretary of the NCEPU Committee of CPC, Mr. WANG Zenping, Vice President of NCEPU. Moreover, Deputy Secretary General HU Zhenming, Mr. Shiloh Miller, Member of the Council of ECMDC and General Secretary of Israel Belgium Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Henrich Guntermann, Member of the Council of ECMDC and CEO of European Consortium of Technology Transfer (ECTT) were part of the delegation. Professor of NCEPU and Ms. ZHANG Qi, Associate Professor of NCEPU attended the meeting as well. After a discussion on how best to chart out the road map for the cooperation between ECMDC and NCEPU, both parties reached the consensus to further elaborate of their joint cooperation and to find the best approach for Sino-European technological R & D cooperation. Finally, both parties expressed their determination for the creation of a new model for the Belt and Road energy cooperation.

Mar. 27.2017 The Cooperation concerning the Professional Training between ECMDC and NCEPU
On the 27th of March, Chairman ZHANG Yi led a delegation to meet with Mr. SHEN Jianfei, Dean of the School of Continuing Education (SCE) of the North China Electric Power University (NCEPU). The discussion evolved around the topic of further cooperation in Sino-European electric power professional training, aiming to integrate European high-quality academic and capacity building resources into the cooperation as well as to provide the intellectual support to international electric power and energy cooperation. Following the discussion, the consensus was reached between both partners on the topic of establishing the study centers in Europe and the involved countries along the Belt and Road.
